I am passionate about caring for all my patients and have a special interest in treating injuries in amateur athletes of all ages. I pursued and obtained additional certification in sports medicine. \n I've been with Novant Health Blakeney Family Physicians since 2013 and enjoy being part of this community. Annually since 2019, I've been honored to be chosen by Charlotte Magazine as one of the area's Top Doctors. \n My patients include newborns, toddlers, adolescents, adults and seniors, and I thoroughly enjoy the breadth of my medical practice. In addition to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illness, I provide routine health screenings and counseling on lifestyle modifications patients can make to prevent illness before it develops. \n Given my sports medicine expertise, I'm a big proponent of lifelong fitness and wellness. I encourage patients to be active while also promoting safety and injury prevention. With my sports medicine patients, my goal is always to maximize function and performance while minimizing disability and time away from sports, work and school. For my patients with sports injuries, I often coordinate their care among a team that might include surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists and coaches. \n When not in the office or on the sidelines treating sprains, fractures, concussions and rotator cuff injuries, I am dedicated to my family. I'm inspired daily by my beautiful wife and our two joyful daughters.
