More About Brent The son of a schoolteacher and counselor, Brent grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia. From an early age, the value of an education and hard work were instilled in him by his family. He mowed lawns for money as a young man. One of his clients was an attorney, and Brent spent time asking questions about the job. From that point on, Brent knew he wanted to be a lawyer. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1986 with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Three years later, Brent completed his law degree at West Virginia University School of Law. His early career began in his hometown of Wheeling at Bordas and Bordas. Brent then took a leap overseas to work as the Attorney General for the U.S. Pacific Island Territory of Guam. Two years later, Brent returned stateside to practice law in Charleston, S.C. In 1995, he opened Stewart Law Office’s first location in Rock Hill. Since then, the firm has expanded to serve clients in Columbia, Spartanburg, Camden, Beaufort** and Charlotte, N.C.   Tyler Bathrick

  Tyler Bathrick knew from a young age that fighting for one’s rights is imperative. Growing up in South Bend, Indiana, while working several odd jobs throughout high school and college, Tyler witnessed how insurance companies and big corporations take advantage of people. His calling to personal injury law developed from the drive to “right the wrongs” he felt when he saw victims being mistreated. This genuine care and passion for his clients’ rights is what he brings to every case he takes on. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2003, Tyler left the cold winters of the Midwest to attend The University of South Carolina School of Law.   Christian Gerencir

  Attorney

  Christian Gerencir is passionate about helping those that aren’t able to help themselves. He is motivated to fight from beginning to end to make sure victims and their families receive the compensation they deserve due to injuries caused by others. Christian represents victims of on-the-job injuries and workers’ compensation claims, car wrecks, tractor-trailer accidents, and other personal injury claims. Growing up in rural West Virginia, Christian found his calling early on for helping others. He was involved in Habitat for Humanity where he helped rebuild numerous homes for those who were struggling.   Growing up, Stephen watched the great impact his father, a lawyer himself, had on people as well as his passion for helping others. As he grew older, Stephen learned that his father’s passion was borne from the unfairness he witnessed growing up in Easley, SC where brown lung was a problem for so many. Stephen decided from a very early age that he wanted to do good for others, just like his dad. He wanted to be someone to help others in their time of need. After gaining his B.S. degree in 1996 from the University of South Carolina, Stephen continued on to the USC School of Law. While in law school, he was elected Vice-President of Student Trial Lawyers. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1999. He has been fighting for the rights of victims ever since. When Stephen says that he is offended by the strong getting their way just because they are strong, he means it. For nearly ten years, Stephen worked for a non-profit in Columbia, SC, Appleseed Legal Justice Center. There he was involved in major civil rights litigation. In January of 2018, Stephen joined the legal team at Stewart Law Offices to continue in his lifework and passion to stand up and fight for those that are in the most difficult times of their lives. Stephen spends his free time with wife Holly and five children. He enjoys putting on his chef hat and cooking, indoors and out, for his family.   Marcus Spake

  Marcus Spake is known for aggressively representing his clients, and for ensuring that their best interests are protected at all times. Marcus was born and raised in western Lincoln County, North Carolina, where his family has deep roots.
