  PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY As an Orthodontist and Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Suzanne Bird is one of just a few Orthodontists in the United States who is also a Pediatric Dentist. This dual specialty helps Dr. Bird create a pleasurable experience for all of her patients, young and not as young. She is passionate about Airway-focused orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and spends countless hours collaborating with and educating others on this advancement in dentistry. HOME LIFE When not helping her family of patients attain and maintain straight and healthy teeth, Dr. Bird loves traveling to the beach, walking, playing pickleball, and spending time with her husband and their five children. She is also a huge dog lover, especially their doodles, Henry and Otto. EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS Dr. Bird earned her doctorate from UNC School of Dentistry, her Pediatric specialty from Ohio State University and Columbus Children’s Hospital, and her Certificate in Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She has also taken hundreds of hours of continuing education in her specialty of Airway-Focused Orthodontics.

  Dr. Bryan Yang

  Pediatric Dentist

  Practice Philosophy Dr. Bryan Yang counts it as a privilege to be part of his patients’ oral health journey! Originally he was a pediatric hygienist, therefore his passion is prevention! He is devoted to helping his patients protect and strengthen their smiles while highlighting the importance of great oral health. A board-eligible pediatric dentist, Dr. Yang works hard to provide children, teens, and people with special needs high-quality, calming, and compassionate dentistry. Home Life When not at the office, Dr. Yang enjoys time with family and friends, playing soccer, looking at the newest tech options, and binge-watching TV shows with his wife, who is a pediatrician! Fun fact: Dr. Yang and his wife share the same wedding anniversary as Dr. Bird and her husband – just 12 years apart! He has spent countless hours training his dog Gemma to be a service dog at Bird Pediatric Dentistry! She can’t wait to meet you! Education & Background Dr. Yang achieved his doctorate at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. He also completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at ECU and during his residency, received training on comprehensive oral healthcare for children and adolescents, along with pediatric medicine, sedation, general anesthesia, children with special needs, growth and development, and child advocacy.
